The Queens Head Inn

The Queens Head public house was closed in early summer 2024 and put up for sale, with an uncertain future ahead. Despite a campaign and money raised to buy the pub as a Community Pub, an alternative offer was accepted by Greene King and we now await news on the new owners plans for the pub. According to a Greene King spokesperson “The pub will be purchased by a local individual with strong links to the village who has assured us it will be run by an experienced local pub operator and will continue to serve the local community going forward.”

Application for renewal of the pub as an Asset of Community Value is underway with Uttlesford District Council
