Hey everybody, we need your help in reinstating the protection of the pub as an Asset of Community Value (ACV)…the current protection period runs out on 9th Jan 2025.
There is another interested party that we’re bidding against and if they are a developer, we need to show the strength of feeling in the village to keeping the pub running.
We need letters of support from the community for the Application and have been told to focus on the following…
“Social wellbeing or social interests of the local community” – provide evidence to explain why the nominated asset was/is of value to the local community (who benefits from the use) include the level of use of the asset (how strongly does the local community feel about the usage, the impact of loss and the way it is believed it was/is of value.”
I’ve attached a letter of support that I have written…please feel free to use it as a template, but please put in your own words what the pub means to you and what its loss would do to the community.
Send your letter to me as soon as you can, as we’re trying to get all the evidence in to the Parish Council in the next week.
