St Mary’s Church, Strethall, serves Catmere End which, although part of the civil parish of Littlebury, falls within the ecclesiastical Parish of the Icknield Way Villages (7 churches).
The Grade I listed building can be dated back to c.1010 and stands alongside a farmyard with only a footpath leading up to its porch. It has retained a simple form without side aisles and has pew seating for a congregation of less than forty. Further information can be found in the church history pamphlet.
