Littlebury Laddies

Littlebury Laddies is a social group open to men of any age – and everyone is welcome!  We organise a range of events – both in the village and further afield and there is occasionally a glass or two of beer consumed. 

The Laddies is all about camaraderie, competition and community spirit.  Meeting monthly, we enjoy a diverse variety of activities and plenty of banter and laughs with a few extra-curricular activities thrown in for good measure.

If you are wondering what it is all about, the Laddies is simple; a chance to get together on an organised but informal basis to meet up with old friends and get to know new people a little better.  We usually have a planned activity such as 10 pin bowling, wine tasting or punting in Cambridge as a theme and share a beer or two whilst debating the news of the day.  There is often a competitive element to spice things up and get everyone involved. 

We are a diverse range of people from different backgrounds and age ranges and try to balance out the activities so that there is something to appeal to everyone throughout the year and we also try and help out with village projects whenever we can.   It is not a club and there is no obligation to make an appearance every month – just come whenever you fancy it.  Although based in Littlebury, people from surrounding villages such as Littlebury Green, Catmere, W`endens Ambo and the Chesterfords are most welcome.

The Laddies regular monthly meeting is on the 2nd Friday of each month and the calendar of events for the next 12 months can be found below.  Other Laddies events in addition to the regular Friday meeting are organised on an occasional basis and can include a golf day, a day at the races, clay pigeon shooting and much more.

Other Potential Events

At our November planning meeting, various ideas were put forward for other activities that we would like to organise but that don’t really fit to our regular Friday meetings. The following “extracurricular” events are being considered:

  This month, Littlebury Laddies return to our roots to replicate the first Laddies’ night from 20+ years ago!   Littlebury Ladies (and Laddies) Sundowner Session at Saffron Grange
  Please join us with friends and family for an evening at the Saffron Grange Sundowner session on Friday 24th July. Enjoy some of their lovely sparkling wines, or a cocktail, Wylde Sky beer, low alcohol beer or soft drink.
