The Parish Council would like to thank the volunteers who came forward to form the new speedwatch group in Littlebury. Following their training in April they have had their inaugural session and captured a top speed of 50mph in the centre of the village.
Data from the Vehicle Activated Signs (VAS) showed records of alarming speeds with a maximum speed of 97mph on the way out of the village and 83mph coming into the village.
Speedwatch sessions are proven to reduce speeding when they happen regularly. Causing motorists to lower their speeds in anticipation of a group being there.
