The Parish Council have been in contact with the new owner by phone and email. He seemed very open in discussion and advised that his team are currently awaiting quotes for essential work, the most urgent being plumbing and heating repairs or replacement. He also noted that they are following up with contractors who inspected the work required around six weeks ago.
The PC has offered assistance and passed on the names and contact details of local businesses that may be able to carry out the work. The PC has also encouraged them to tidy the premises and asked that they let us know how their plan for the pub is progressing.
At the request of the Community Pub team working alongside the PC and with the overwhelming backing of the Littlebury community, the pub was reregistered by Uttlesford District Council as an Asset of Community Value last winter, maintaining the opportunities arising from that status.
