The Uttlesford electoral services manager has alerted us about upcoming changes to postal voting registration. If you currently have a postal vote for elections, please be aware that the law is changing – if you wish to continue to vote by post you will need to re-apply by 31st January 2026. In future, postal votes will only last for 3 years, after which time you must re-apply again.
If you are a postal voter with email, please look out for an email from UDC over the next couple of months which aims to encourage an online response before the formal notification process starts in June. It is quick and easy to apply for a postal vote via the Government’s secure site www.gov.uk/apply-postal-vote
