There is planned roadworks along the M11 between Junctions 7 (Harlow) and 9 (Great Chesterford). This work will take approximately two weeks between Monday 8 September and Saturday 20 September. Between 9pm and 5am on weeknights only, weather permitting.
Closures and diversions
Closure of the M11 northbound between junctions 7 and 8 and lane closures only between junctions 8 and 9, and divert traffic as follows:
M11 junctions 7 to 8 northbound road users
- Traffic wanting to travel northbound on the M11 should exit at Junction 7 (Harlow) and proceed via the A414, A1184, and A120 before rejoining the M11 at Junction 8 (Birchanger).
M11 junctions 8 to 9 road users
- Lane closures will be in place between junctions 8 and 9 but no diversion is necessary as road users will still be able to use the single lanes on the carriageway.
A1025 access from the M11
- Traffic will still be able to access the A1025 from the M11 southbound at junction 7a.
