Home-Start

Home-Start Uttlesford offers support to parents and families with young children under five.

We aim to prevent family breakdown, improve mental health, confidence and self-esteem and combat feelings of isolation. We train volunteers to visit families, running Family Groups, helping with appointments, giving families coping strategies and providing opportunities to meet each other in safe settings.

We also develop and provide hands-on courses for parents and children, such as healthy eating and exercise.

Volunteers spend at least two hours a week with their designated family. Friends of Home-Start help us to keep the charity running by organising events to raise funds.   If you would like to know more, please visit us. http://www.homestartuttlesford.org.uk/
