Jane Bradbury's Educational Foundation

 Jane Bradbury’s Educational Foundation is a charitable trust set up many years ago to help young people under the age of 25, living in the ancient parish of Littlebury, with financial grants towards their vocational and/or educational needs. The parish includes Littlebury Green and Catmere End so all residents of Littlebury, Littlebury Green and Catmere End who have not reached their 25th birthday are eligible to apply for a grant.

Over the years the foundation has made a variety of awards to help many young people, and examples include financial help with the cost of the following:  Music Lessons, Musical Instruments, Text Books. Overseas Travel in Gap years for good causes, Uniforms and Overalls, Computer Equipment for Educational Purposes, Attendance at Field and other Courses, Tools and Equipment. This is a guideline and we shall welcome all applications.

We usually meet June and November. Application forms are available from the Clerk to the Trustees, Fulfen House, Abbey Farm, Audley End, Saffron Walden, Essex CB11 4JE. The forms when completed will need to be accompanied by a letter from the applicant.

Educational trips - music lessons - courses - text books - materials - equipment - gap year travel for good causes - Musical instruments - overalls & uniforms - anything to do with education.

Making an application is easy.  Complete the form simple form and submit it, along with a letter of support from your school or tutor, by one of the two annual closing dates, 1st June or 1st November.

Littlebury United Charities

 Littlebury United Charities arose from amalgamating many old parish charities in 1953. Wayleaves and rent help to make up its annual income. Early each December the Trustees meet and gifts are then made to residents in Littlebury, Littlebury Green and Catmere End for Christmas using the best possible methods of giving.

The Trustees are: Rev. J Parsons, Mrs C. Lethbridge, Miss J. Cowell, Mrs Shirley Green, Mrs J. Hancock, Mrs J. Menell and Mrs E. Sanders.
