Extremely talented musicians from Saffron Walden High School under the leadership of Elis Reed once again raised the roof at Littlebury for a joint fundraiser for the Church and the charity Uttlesford Home Start. We were also delighted to hear Hannah O’Sullivan singing at Holy Trinity.

Littlebury Fete and Zipwire

On 14 June, 50 brave soft toys took a ride on a dull day at the Fete at Holy Trinity Church. Thanks to those who sponsored and supported in various ways - £2,500 was raised for church funds.  Many thanks too to Joe Higham for these great pictures.

Bishop welcomes new Team Vicar

The Bishop of Chelmsford, the Rt Revd Stephen Cottrell, was at Holy Trinity Church, Littlebury on 2 September, together with the Archdeacon of Stansted the Revd Canon Robin King, to conduct the Licensing Service of Revd Jeremy Parsons as new Team Vicar in the Saffron Walden and Villages Team Ministry. Jeremy will have pastoral responsibility for the parishes of Great Chesterford, Little Chesterford, Littlebury and Wendens Ambo. Addressing a congregation of over 150 from across the parishes, the Bishop encouraged them to put prayer at the centre of their witness and service in their communities, and to play their full part in supporting Jeremy in his Ministry. As part of the service a wide range of civic leaders from across the local communities added their welcome to Jeremy and his wife Ruth.

Walk for Chris

Funds raised by this sponsored walk, organised by PCC Treasurer Jayne Loughran, will be split equally three ways between Cancer Research UK, Arthur Rank Hospice and the churches visited. You may still donate.

What a fabulous fete! 2017

Over £2,800 was raised this year at the Littlebury Fete. Among many other stalls teddies whizzed down the zipwire, the cake and BBQ stalls were inundated with hungry fete goers while the human fruit machine drew many intrigued custoners. Thank you, Gordon Ridgewell for these marvellous photos.
